Sun Microsystems India on Tuesday announced signing of an original equipment manufacturers (OEM) agreement with software products company Nucleus Software Exports Ltd for deploying Sun Java Enterprise System (JES) in existing and future products of Nucleus.
"Nucleus Software is the first ISV partner in India to have chosen JES as the development platform for its Internet banking solution - BankONet. With the usage of JES stack, Nucleus Software expects to decrease 70 man-months of effort and five calendar months in the time to market, for new products," a release issued by Sun Microsystems said.
With this partnership, Nucleus aims to provide its customers enhanced value for the same transaction by offering wider solution footprint and lower `total cost of ownership' besides overcoming the complexities of dealing with multiple vendors.
