If I had to describe my journey at Nucleus in one line, it would be this: “Different domain. Same principles. Deeper purpose.”
I’m Peeyush Nagori, part of the Digital Services team at Nucleus Software. My role places me at the intersection of customers, technology, and delivery – working closely with banks to support IT services, infrastructure stability, solutioning, and continuous improvement. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in customer-facing roles, helping translate complex business challenges into practical, technology-driven solutions.
I’ve been with Nucleus for over a decade now, and that in itself says something. My journey here has taken me across customers, engagements, and geographies, each bringing a new layer of learning. Today, I support banking customers from an IT services and infrastructure perspective, working alongside Nucleus products to ensure stability, transformation, and long-term reliability. What’s kept me engaged all these years is simple: no two customer problems are ever the same-and solving them meaningfully takes patience, structure, and intent.
Before Nucleus: Where It All Began
By education, I’m a Mechanical Engineer. Before joining Nucleus, I worked with Bosch in India as a Business Excellence Practitioner and Program/Project Manager. My world then revolved around Lean practices, process optimisation, and structured problem-solving-largely within manufacturing environments. So why Nucleus? Because it was doing something bold. It was taking Lean thinking beyond factories and applying it to IT and banking systems-spaces where problems are less visible, more complex, and deeply interconnected.
That challenge intrigued me. It felt like a natural progression, yet a brave shift into an entirely new domain.
Joining Nucleus was a defining moment – it was a change of domain, geography, and role, all at once. Professionally, it gave me the opportunity to apply Lean and Business Excellence principles in the world of IT and banking. Unlike manufacturing, where inefficiencies are often visible, IT systems demand deeper analysis and structured thinking. This sharpened my ability to solve problems logically, make decisions with clarity, and simplify complexity.
Personally, working in a global, customer-facing environment expanded my worldview. It taught me adaptability, resilience, and the importance of perspective. Nucleus gave me the space to grow steadily-without losing sight of fundamentals. As I often reflect: “Growth doesn’t always need speed. Sometimes, it needs depth.”
Learning, Balance, and Purpose
In customer-facing roles, balance doesn’t come automatically-you build it. For me, work-life balance is about discipline, clarity, and trust. By planning ahead, prioritising what truly matters, and communicating transparently with stakeholders, I’m able to manage responsibilities effectively. Nucleus’ culture of ownership and flexibility has played a big role in making this possible. Yes, the role is challenging-managing expectations, navigating legacy systems, and keeping pace with evolving technologies isn’t easy. But one lesson stands out above all: Structured thinking and simplicity are powerful-even in the most complex environments. Nucleus has reinforced that long-term success isn’t about quick fixes. It’s built on trust, consistency, and a genuine intent to solve customer problems, not just deliver tasks.
For me, the core value that distinguishes Nucleus is its belief in long-term partnerships. I’ve seen decisions being guided by integrity, accountability, and deep domain understanding, even when the easier path was tempting. This culture resonates deeply with the philosophy of Ikigai-doing the right thing, doing what you love, and continuously improving with purpose. That alignment is what made Nucleus feel like the right place to grow-and stay.
A Memory That Stays With Me
One of my most fulfilling moments was seeing a customer engagement evolve from being purely operational to becoming a trusted partnership. Watching confidence build over time-through structured problem-solving and consistent delivery-was incredibly rewarding. More recently, being part of Nucleus’ 25-year journey in Japan was deeply moving. Hearing Japanese banking stalwarts share their stories was a powerful reminder of what long-term trust and commitment truly look like.
To Those Just Starting Out
If you’re new to Nucleus, here’s my simple advice: Stay curious. Be patient. Think long-term. Take time to understand the domain, the customer context, and the bigger picture. Growth at Nucleus may not always be instant-but it is deep, meaningful, and sustainable for those who take ownership and approach problems with intent. And that, in my experience, makes all the difference.
