When you ask Aakshat Bhardwaj what Nucleus means to him, he smiles and says: “Once a Nucleite, always a Nucleite.”

For him, it’s not just a phrase – it’s the story of his career, his growth, and his transformation over the past nine years.

The First Spark – A Young Trainee with Big Dreams

Aakshat first entered Nucleus as a Technical Trainee – nervous yet determined. He began his journey with mobility solutions, learning the ropes of customer implementations step by step.

He still remembers the thrill and jitters of his very first independent project – balancing client expectations, delivery timelines, and technical hurdles all at once. “It was a trial by fire,” he recalls, “but it gave me the confidence I needed.” That confidence became the bedrock of his career.

Trial by Fire – Finding Confidence in Challenges

In five years, Aakshat rose to Senior Software Engineer. But his heart was set on a new passion: Product Management. In 2021, he rejoined Nucleus to embrace this new path – supported fully by the organization.

“Without that backing, I couldn’t have explored my true potential.”

Within just 3.5 years, he was leading FinnOne Neo® Collections, alongside solutions like mCollect, GeoTracker, and Payout Management.

Building with Purpose – Products That Make a Difference
Product Management, Aakshat says, is “a dynamic balancing act-juggling multiple stakeholders while keeping the long-term vision intact.”
One of his defining milestones was the MB Bank FinnOne Neo® Collections project. With only three months to draft the solution and five new trainees joining just two weeks before development, the odds seemed stacked against them. Yet the team not only succeeded but delivered documentation 15 days ahead of schedule.
“That project taught me what resilience and teamwork really mean.”

Vietnam Calling – From Escalation to Appreciation

2023 brought a turning point. On short notice, Aakshat was asked to fly to Vietnam to conduct a BPM workshop for MB Bank – a project already in escalation.

“It felt like being dropped into the lion’s den,” he laughs, recalling how he had no prior BPM experience. But trust and support from his leaders anchored him.

In just a week, the escalation transformed into genuine appreciation from MB Bank’s senior leadership. That moment earned him his first award – Pinnacle Performer – and strengthened his belief in the power of trust and opportunity.
