Nucleus Software was founded by three enterprising professionals way back in 1986, when Nucleus Software Workshop Pvt. Ltd. was started with the objective of supporting all the IT needs of Citibank, India. Their sheer dedication and the commitment of the employees converted it into a 200 persons company by 1990. This was when Nucleus Software Exports Pvt. Ltd. was launched as the export wing of the Group. Led by Vishnu Dusad, a core team was moved across and further strengthened, with experienced professionals from the industry.

Customized Software Development in the field of banking and financial services has been the core strength of Nucleus. Over the past 7 years, Nucleus has also executed successfully offshore software development and maintenance projects, tuning traditional software development methodology to support the customer, and bridge the physical gap.

5. How does Nucleus stay ahead on technology front?

Nucleus has always been striving to be in the forefront of technology, be it UNIX clustering, client/server, GUI etc. We were one of the first few in India to set up Internet connectivity.

Today we possess expertise in most of the toolkits available including CGI, NSAPI, ISAPI, Oracle Cartridges and JAVA.Within our organizational focus on Banking and Financial Services segment, the team has kept abreast of the security developments in the Internet arena, and possesses the expertise for implementing SSL security in on-line applications.

We have also explored the possibility of implementing Multi-tier Internet applications using DCOM/COM based on Microsoft's technology (OLE-ISAPI) through sample applications.
